FEMA EXTENDS DEADLINE FOR

SANDY DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

Today FEMA announced that the deadline for applying for disaster loans for damage to property by Hurricane Sandy for 13 NY counties has been extended to March 29, 2013.? If you are a homeowner or a business you may be eligible.? Do not worry if you are still waiting for your insurance to settle with you.? APPLY NOW ANYWAY.?? Homeowners are eligible for up to $200000.00 for residence damage and $40000.00 for personal property damage. Businesses can borrow up to 2 million dollars for damage to property.? There is? a July deadline for businesses to apply for economic loss disaster loans related to Sandy.? If you lost business, you may qualify.??? Don?t put off applying. DO IT TODAY. ITS EASY.

The current plan is to divide the distressed areas into 3-4 individual geographic areas. Program managers for each region will be selected by FEMA officials. Each individual program manager will then use the registration forms referenced below to identify specialty trade contractors to perform work in their respective area.?Unregistered contractors may not be contacted for this work.?Current FEMA requirements state that contractors interested in participating must register in the FEMA Disaster Response Registry.

FEMA Vendor Profile Form to the Industry Liaison Program
Contact the Industry Liaison Support Center at FEMA-Industry@dhs.gov for this form or call 202-646-1895. Each program manager/CM/GC will then identify subcontractors from this registration.

Separate links to material suppliers will be available to those contractors selected in an effort to ensure sufficient materials and suppliers are available.
